Menu Plan Monday

With taking these two weeks off from designing I am actually getting my menu posted again!  Each week I fill out the menu sheet and we follow it about 70% of the time. I hate when it is too hot (seriously it is only mid 90's lately) to cook. So we end up eating simple or going out.  We have to stop that!  School starts tomorrow (Monday) so time to get into a great routine again!

Sunday - BLTs

Monday - Tacos

Tuesday - Cobb salad (Turkey, cheese, hardboiled egg, bacon over a bed of lettuce)

Wednesday - a crockpot meal of some sort. Probably with chicken just not sure yet! If you have an idea feel free to share!

Thursday - Grilled cheese -- got a great deal on some yummy bread at Target this last week and have some sliced cheese around too so.. with the heat this is a great dinner!

Friday - BBQ hamburgers with corn on the cob from Brentwood!

Saturday - John's Incredible Pizza Co. -- we have the Fun Pass for Rachel and Adam so they both get to eat free during their birthday month (nothing like procrastinating a little bit!)

Check out OrgJunkie for more menu ideas.

If you missed the giveaway I am doing for a free hybrid template check it out here. They include a PDF file so ANYONE can print and assemble them!

Back to School Trio

Hi...Sandi here...Krisi is on a much needed break and getting her oldest daughter ready to go back to school on Monday.  So, I'm here filling in for her.  Hope you enjoy what I've got for you.
It's hard to believe it's almost August.  For some of you, you are getting ready to send your kiddos back to school.  Here in PA we have until the end of August, but as a third grade teacher I always begin thinking about school the end of July and getting myself geared up for the year.  Every year, the first day of school is so exciting for me.  Welcoming 20+ students into my classroom and watching them grow emotionally, socially and academically over the year is just such a joy.  So...in celebration of back to school I have worked on a few projects to get in gear.  Hopefully, it will get your creative juices flowing too and you'll be able to start the year right by sending in a special little gift for your child's teacher.

My first project is a coffee mug that I decorated all up. I bought the tumbler at Starbucks.

Here is the template that I used to make it.  You can buy it here.

Here's my second project...a sticker holder.  Every teacher needs a place to organize his/her stickers.

Here is the template that I used to make it.  This template is so versatile.  There are so many uses for this.  I can see this holding flash cards, of course recipes,...think anything that you would use 3X5 for.  The possibilities are endless.  You can buy the template here.

And my last project is a notepad holder.  Teachers always have "to do" lists.
the inside:

Here is the template that I used to make the legal pad wrap.  What I love so much about Krisi's templates is the choices she gives you to meet the needs of  your own creative side.  In this one you can make bracket, scallop, round or straight flap.  You can buy it here.

On all three projects I used this letter set.  Love it!!!

You can find this fun alphabet here.
Well, there you have it! Three great teacher gifts for back to school! If you are headed back to school have a great week! Have fun! If you aren't headed back to school, enjoy some more much needed vacation and create!
Hugs,
Sandi

Jr. Legal Pad Wrap - New Release!

I created this back in June when I wanted something fun to do with Chelle's Creations kit that was going to be in The Daily Digi this month.  This is what I created with it:

So I decided to turn it into a template!
Legal Pad Wrap
It is so easy to use and the results are fabulous!

Here are some fun examples from my team and the team over at ScrapMatters...

Yummm and more.

Many of you know I like to plan my menu's well I am also a recipe junkie as well. I am trying to get better about just saving the ones I really want to try and then trying them (gasp!) soon (must work on more).  I have one of my favorite cookie recipes below for you to grab and a way to get a bunch of other yummy recipes as well.  But before then let me show you this fun set of cards I created - I included both recipe cards as well as an index card for other uses as well.  Not only that I created some that can fold in the middle so they have a front and a back for those really long recipes!

Until the 15th (I know the ad says the 14th but I was mixed up on my days at the time) you will get this fabulous set of predecorated recipe cards for free when you purchase Recipe/Index Card Templates.  Psst..... we are also having a sale for Christmas in July so you get an additional discount as well!

But that was not enough... I created a box to hold the 3x5 size as well.

This box will be great for organizing flash cards for you kids, recipes, small note pads and so much more!

Want to see what Tanja did with it:

Leaves, Flowers and Stems - Oh My!

I didn't get a chance to let you know that the ScrapMatters new releases would be delayed a day.  ScrapMatters is moving their server this week and the FTP for uploading is not working. So since only those who got their items in the store and uploaded before Tuesday have downloads attached to their products we decided to wait a day to see if it would get it fixed so we could release everything all at once. Unfortunately it did not get fixed but luckily for you guys... all my stuff was in the store already!  So... I bring you two unseen items and then one that was a speed scrap participation prize.

For my birthday I got a Cricut Expressions. I am so excited and this is the first week I bring you cutting files with your download. I included SVG files but if you need something else because your program does not import SVG files just send me an e-mail and I will see if I can get them to the right format.

Are they not just fabulous? They will totally change the way I hybrid!
And then I have this Alpha that is going to be a staple for me... love white with black accented alphas!

And to see what the girls did...

Tanja used some of everything for this fun card:

Sandi

Jennifer - what a fun set of 4th of July center peices!

Oh and if you didn't know there is a daily download going on over at ScrapMatters.  Just head over there and download a new piece of the kit each day during the month of July.

I hope that everyone has a fabulous 4th of July... for those outside of the US I do hope you have a great day on Sunday as well :)

If you are looking for a fabulous CT to join thought I would promote this one from one of my favorite designers - Chelle.

See you next week!
